hi, everyone, have u heard the name of nifty and sensex in your life, and are you a beginner then you must and should know about nifty and sensex.

There are 18 stock exchanges in India but we consider here two popular stock exchanges Bombay stock exchange and national stock exchange

Before going to explain about nifty and sensex your must know about stock exchanges lets move to the topic

Bombay stock exchange(BSE) :

• Bombay stock exchange is located in Dalal street in Mumbai (Maharastra).
• It is established in 9-July-1875, and it’s a world fastest stock exchange.
• It is one of the oldest stock exchange in Asia.
• Bse is the 11 largest stock exchange in the world.
• More than 5500 companies listed in it.
• Bse overall market capitalization is 2.2 trillion.

SENSEX :

• SENSEX  is known as BSE30, is the index consists of the top 30 fundamental strong and high market capitalization companies are listed in it.
• 30 companies are selected on free float market capitalisation.
• sensex base value 100 on 1978-1979.
• this indicator will calculate the market movements.
• there are different sectors of stocks to be listed.

• it consists of the free float market capitalisation weighted index
• more than 2500 companies listed in it.

NIFTY :

• it consists of top 50 companies from 24 different sectors
• Nifty represents 50 top market capitalization and strong fundamental companies
• it represents 2 words (NIFTY) National and Fifty.
• the base year of nifty is 1995, the value was 100.
• Its a barometer for market movement.
